An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen to join the HR Team in a large, blue-chip, manufacturing orientated organisation to provide strategic and professional advice in the areas of resourcing and employee relations.
The HR team strongly supports the business in its relationship with its people and the Unions as well as leading on ER & IR initiatives, and the Employee Relations Specialist plays a key role in the achievement of the team and business objectives. This role will particularly focus on:
• Partnering the operational teams in their efforts to improve the current absence management position
• Developing relationships with employees to encourage greater adherence to ER processes
• Supporting and guiding the management team in line with the organisations policies and processes
• Acting as the gatekeeper for 3rd stage, employment review cases, working with managers and HR colleagues in providing advice consistent with people policies and good employment practice.
You will have worked in a specialist role providing employee relations guidance in a customer-centric, service driven environment at an operational level and will have previous HR/ER experience working collaboratively across business/HR teams coupled with experience of working with unions.
You will have excellent planning, organisational and communication skills.
